The PostRock Name
Innovation and Endurance
When the first European settlers arrived in Kansas, they found very few trees and virtually nothing to make fencing to contain their livestock. The settlers and their families faced a real challenge to their survival that required an innovative solution. They discovered a thin, soft layer of limestone that ran through much of the state that was just below the prairie’s surface. They were able to easily cut and shape the soft limestone with hand tools to make fence posts that hardened after baking in the sun. That innovative solution, post rock fence posts, helped the early Kansas settlers survive and served them well for generations. Many of those post rock fence posts are still in use today, approaching two centuries of dutiful service and still sustaining those families.
PostRock Partners strives to provide equally innovative solutions to help sustain generations of families in much the same way.
